Forschungsschwerpunkt

Die Forschung von Prof. Dr. Fanny Schober verbindet klinisch-psychologische Grundlagenforschung translational mit digitaler Assessment- und Interventionsforschung im Kindes-, Jugend- und jungen Erwachsenenalter. Im Zentrum stehen hierbei Körperbildstörungen sowie Zwangsspektrumsstörungen.

Ein Forschungsschwerpunkt umfasst die Untersuchung kognitiver, emotionaler und interpersoneller Mechanismen psychischer Störungen. Hierzu zählen insbesondere Interpretations- und Aufmerksamkeitsverzerrungen (sog. Kognitive Biases), Emotionsregulation, soziale Vergleichsprozesse sowie die Auswirkungen digitaler Medien auf psychische Gesundheit, insbesondere das Körperbild in der Adoleszenz. Zur Untersuchung dieser Prozesse nutzt sie experimentelle Paradigmen, Ecological Momentary Assessment, Eye-Tracking und digitale Phänotypisierung.

Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt in der Entwicklung und Evaluation innovativer Interventionen. Dazu gehören digitale und blended-care Ansätze, smartphonebasierte Interventionen, Cognitive Bias Modification sowie der Einsatz neuer Technologien wie Virtual Reality und KI-gestützter Anwendungen in Prävention und Psychotherapie. Ziel ist die Entwicklung personalisierter, niedrigschwelliger und evidenzbasierter Versorgungsansätze für Kinder, Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene im digitalen Zeitalter.
